The administrator supports core IT infrastructure used across the organization, including on-premises systems, cloud services, Windows and Linux servers, identity platforms, network services and Microsoft 365. The job also participates in after-hours on-call support and scheduled maintenance.
Windows, Linux and Cloud Infrastructure
The Systems Administrator deploys, configures and maintains Windows and Linux servers with a focus on availability, security and performance. The employee also supports cloud and hybrid infrastructure rather than working only with traditional on-premises servers.
Routine work includes monitoring systems, applying patches, performing upgrades and completing maintenance during approved windows.
Microsoft 365 and Identity
ACR expects hands-on administration of Microsoft 365 services and identity systems. That includes Active Directory, Group Policy, Entra ID, user accounts, permissions and access controls.
Identity management is an important part of the role because secure access to systems and cloud services needs to be maintained alongside day-to-day user support.
Networking and Security
The position requires a working understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN concepts, DNS and DHCP. Cisco routing, switching and security products are also listed in the requirements.
Security is built into the job through access-control management, patching, security analysis and disaster-recovery planning. Candidates should be able to troubleshoot infrastructure while still following change and security procedures.
Experience and Education
Applicants need at least three years of related systems-administration experience covering Windows, Linux and cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
ACR asks for a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience. Microsoft professional-level or AWS Practitioner-level certification is preferred.
On-Call Support and Benefits
