National Fuel is hiring an Oracle Developer for its Information Technology department, with candidates being considered for Buffalo, New York; Erie, Pennsylvania; or Dayton, Ohio. The posted base salary is $80,000 to $105,000 per year, and applications are due August 28, 2026.
The developer will support Oracle Fusion and Oracle Utilities applications used across several business functions. National Fuel is looking for someone who can work with business teams, understand enterprise processes and also handle technical configuration, integrations, testing and ongoing application support.
Oracle Applications in the Role
The developer may support Human Capital Management, customer systems and operational or field-service applications. The posting specifically references Oracle HCM, customer platforms such as CCS and operational systems such as WACS and Oracle Field Service.
That makes the position broader than a single-module developer job. The selected person may work across one or more areas depending on experience and business needs.
Development and Support Work
- Configure, develop and support Oracle Fusion or Oracle Utilities applications.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Design and maintain integrations, extensions, reports and data extracts.
- Support data conversion, validation and reconciliation.
- Work with data engineers and application architects on enterprise standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues and help maintain system reliability.
- Support testing, user acceptance testing and post-implementation stabilization.
- Document configurations, integrations and technical designs.
- Work with vendors and implementation partners on support and knowledge transfer.
Required Experience
National Fuel requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field and at least five years of experience supporting enterprise application development or functional systems analysis.
Applicants also need hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion/Utilities Cloud or a comparable enterprise ERP platform, including configuration, extensions or integrations.
Preferred Background
Candidates can bring a specialty in HCM, customer systems or operational applications. HCM work can include Core HR, payroll, talent, benefits and security, while customer or operations work can involve billing, CRM, asset management, work management or field service.
Large enterprise implementations and experience in regulated industries such as utilities, energy or financial services are also useful.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range is $80,000 to $105,000. National Fuel says the final offer depends on factors such as experience, qualifications, licensure, industry background, education and market demand for specialized skills.
Exempt positions are also eligible for an annual cash bonus plan. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, retirement programs, paid leave, parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
